Jacob is not easily defined but is easily entertained. He enjoys traveling and has been to sixteen countries on three continents of earth.
Jacob studied for one year at Atlantic Baptist University majoring in English literature. While studying at ABU he was offered an exchange program that would have seen him go to Oxford, England to continue studying English literature. Jacob decided that he was not interested in studying formally and decided to take the year off to travel instead. That year he made two separate trips from North America to Europe and visited many major cities and explored the continent of Europe.
While Jacob was studying at ABU he also played soccer for the men’s team. In his rookie year Jacob was the assistant captain of the team and helped lead them to victory in their division. Also, he was invited to be the assistant coach of the women’s team and helped advance that team to their first trip to the Canadian National’s. Jacob was awarded the school’s Rookie of the Year award for his overall efforts in advancing the athletics department.
Following his year of sojourning in Europe Jacob decided to resume his formal education at the University of Prince Edward Island and picked up where he had left off with his English degree. However, he soon realized that formal education has it’s limitations and decided to discontinue his studies.
Set to travel though South America Jacob was then contacted by Master Packaging and asked if he would like a job in the folding carton industry. He decided that flexography and the growing flexographic printing industry was an interesting venture and took the job. The trip was cut short and Jacob only visited one South American country: Peru.
Jacob now lives in Borden-Carleton, PEI, Canada. His home overlooks the Northumberland Strait and the onramp to the world’s longest bridge over ice covered waters - The Confederation Bridge. He lives there with his beautiful wife Brynn and their Golden Retrievers, Sandy and Muddy.
